Foundation Program Auditions
Our Foundation Program is open to students from across the Brisbane metropolitan area and delivered at our world-class facilities based at Kelvin Grove State College. Acceptance into the program is through an audition, or by invitation.
#Audition Process
Queensland Ballet Academy invites young dancers from across Brisbane to audition for the Semester 1 2026 intake of our Foundation Program—a nurturing, after-school training pathway designed to inspire a lifelong love of dance. This is the first point of entry into the Academy’s professional training pathway for children aged 6 to 11 years old.

Cost: $35
Audition applications open: 1 July 2025
Applications close: 21 November 2025
Audition date: 24 November 2025 (Brisbane)
Venue: Queensland Ballet Academy—Gate 1, 101 L’Estrange Terrace, Kelvin Grove, QLD, 4059
Schedule: Audition class times will be scheduled between 3:30 - 6:00pm and will be confirmed via email the week prior to the event.
Eligibility: Auditionees may be enrolled at any school within the Brisbane metropolitan area, in a minimum academic level of Prep and maximum year 6.
Attire: Fitted comfortable clothing or dance/active wear.
Footwear: Ballet flats or socks (only) are allowed to be worn in the studio.
