One Vision.
One Home.
One Unified Pathway.

The Academy of Queensland Ballet's training programs provide a seamless professional training pathway for tomorrow’s dancers.
#A Stronger Connection to the Company in 2027

From 2027, training takes place in the award-winning home of Queensland Ballet, the Thomas Dixon Centre, in the vibrant city-fringe suburb of West End, Brisbane.
Students will train within close proximity to the professional Company, gaining insight into the standards, discipline, and artistry required to be a part of the industry. This connection provides access to and visibility of the Company’s Artistic Team and global industry guests from the moment enrolment commences.
Returning to the Thomas Dixon Centre also provides students with inspiration and mentorship from professional dancers, a deeper understanding of Company life, plus a clear and visible pathway to professional employment.

#Education Options

For students in the Academy Program (Level 3 – 1), we are pleased to accommodate flexible education pathways.
The Academy maintains a long-standing partnership with Kelvin Grove State College, providing students with a guaranteed pathway to enroll should they wish to undertake their academic studies there.
For those who prefer alternative academic pathways, students are equally supported in exploring other options, whether that involves attending a different secondary school or pursuing distance learning arrangements. Information regarding home education can be found on the Queensland Government website at qld.gov.au search ‘home education’.
#Fees and Support
The Academy of Queensland Ballet is fortunate to be able to offer students experiencing financial hardship the opportunity to apply for scholarships and bursaries. This would not be possible without the generous support of our Queensland Ballet donors, who share our vision of making ballet training accessible to young dancers.
