For students in Academic Years 6 to 12
Our Associate Program+ is a training opportunity aimed to engage students living outside Brisbane metropolitan area who cannot commit to year-round Academy training and instead attend short-term intensives.
#A World-class training opportunity for ballet students residing outside the Brisbane Metropolitan Area
The Associate Program+ (formerly Guest Academy Program) is a unique training opportunity for selected ballet students who reside outside of the Brisbane Metropolitan Area. Entry into the program is offered following a successful audition or by invitation. Selected students in Academic Years 6 to 12 visit the Thomas Dixon Centre to participate in a week-long training experience four times a year (or once per academic term). Students enjoy professional training from our world-class faculty focused on the main subjects offered in the Academy Program. Each visit also offers the opportunity to observe Company classes and rehearsals.
From 2027, we are delighted to announce that the new Associate Program+ is expanding to seven levels with increased hours throughout the week.
2027 Dates
Students will attend one intensive week per each school term. Exact dates will be provided to successful candidates alongside other enrolment details later in the year.
Weekly Schedule
Each week will be compromised with two shorter days and three longer days:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 2pm to 7pm
Tuesday and Thursday 2pm to 5.30pm
The Associate Program+ is open to ballet students who reside outside of the Brisbane Metropolitan Area. These areas may include the wider South East Queensland (Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Scenic Rim), intrastate, interstate, or international locations. Students also must be in Academic Years 6 to 12 to be eligible to audition.
Students within Brisbane, who are enrolled in the Associate Programs (Levels 7 - 4) can also register for these intensives.
