#About the Event
We are delighted to offer the Junior Summer Program exclusively for younger dancers aged 6 - 13 years.
Over four action-packed days, participants will strengthen their foundational skills in classical ballet, character dance, repertoire, and contemporary dance. They’ll also be mentored by passionate teachers, access world-class facilities, and make new friends in a fun, supportive, and professional studio environment.
This year, the program culminates in an open viewing day, allowing dancers to showcase their new skills to a live audience of their family and friends. This event is free to attend and celebrates the dancers’ growth in confidence, technical skill, and artistry. *
The Junior Summer Program is held at Queensland Ballet Academy’s world-class home in Kelvin Grove, Brisbane. The building houses six world-class dance studios, dancers’ quarters, and health and wellbeing facilities to ensure dancers get the most out of their training. Queensland Ballet Academy staff are also trained and certified in best-practice child safety to ensure participants enjoy a positive school holiday experience.
*Please note we are unable to accommodate viewing of the program classes on any day other than the viewing day.

Times: Classes will be scheduled between 9.00am- 12.00pm AEST^

Age: 6 – 13 years
Registration Fee:
$435 (inc. GST) – Standard Registration
$390 (inc. GST) – 2025 Queensland Ballet Academy student (discount code provided by email)
Groups:
Participants will be placed into groups in accordance with their age at the commencement of the event.
Queensland Ballet Academy faculty will observe students during day 1 of the program and may adjust a participant's level so that they can get the most out of their time training with us.
*A discount is available for Academy students and siblings (2 or more tickets purchased). Please contact academy@queenslandballet.com.au for your discount code before booking.

#Attire
Girls: leotard of own choice, ballet tights and ballet flats. Participants may also wear black footless tights or shorts for contemporary classes and character shoes for character classes (if they already own them).
Boys: fitted T-shirt and shorts/bike pants, or unitard, with socks and ballet flats. Participants may also wear footless tights or shorts for contemporary classes and character shoes for character classes (if they already own them).
Participants are not expected to purchase new items specifically for this event.
