Generously donated by Professor Ashley Goldsworthy AO OBE KSS KM, the Shirley Goldsworthy Bursary assists one talented young dancer each year in the pursuit of their dreams at Queensland Ballet Academy.

Awarded to a student in either the Upper School, Lower School or the Pre-Professional Program who is experiencing financial hardship, the bursary offers the opportunity to be mentored by the faculty of internationally experienced industry professionals in our world-class faculty at Kelvin Grove.

The Shirley Goldsworthy Bursary is awarded to one student annually and is new in 2023.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
